As promised I tried doing that comparison with Netstumbler and Kismet, but(there are always a but). I had some problems with Kismet on the way to work. It seemed to keep hanging and stop logging AP's. So when it was safe, I would cancel Kismet and restart it. But I must of missed a few AP's, since I wasn't sure at what point Kismet hung. But I was able to capture a bit, the results are HERE(Don't bother to click on any of the AP's links, since they will fail)
The other problem I encountered and wasn't expecting is that there is no way to export Netstumbler to a HTML file. I'll keep trying to find a method so that the results of Kismet and Netstumbler can be compared side-by-side.
So the results were 68 for Kismet and 40 for Netstumbler. I know I must have missed a few with Kismet hanging. I'll try again next week, I downloaded and compiled the latest version of Kismet, my version was a little out of date. Hopefully the latest version resolves those problems.
